Thomas Mueller won Golden Boot award in the 2010 World Cup

Thomas Mueller has won the Golden Boot award in the 2010 World Cup, becoming the second-youngest player of all time to net five goals in the tournament. Only Pelé had achieved that feat before at such a young age, when he scored six goals at the 1958 World Cup at 17 years old.
He has admitted he never believed he would win the Golden Boot before the World Cup began.
Müller plays as a midfielder or forward, and has been deployed in a variety of attacking roles – as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or on either wing.
Mueller, who led Germany to a third-place finish with a 3-2 victory over Uruguay, also won the Best Young Player award.
